Pyre Iota

I am Pyre Iota.  I've had a few people ask me what that means.  Well, it's hard to give a clear definition because to me it means a lot of things.  But I'll try my best to explain....
Pyre: is for funeral pyre.  This represents all the times that I've wanted to completely throw in the towel and conform.  I also have a fantasy that I was burned at the stake in a past life even though I only practiced Earth magick and meditation.
I associate the pyre with the unjust execution of witches and those people accused of practicing witchcraft.  The term "witch" has been made derogatory by mainstream culture since the beginning of the written word.  Now I'm not denying that some witches have used witchcraft to cause others harm, but why make generalization about all practitioners based on the actions of a few misguided individuals?  Witches make good choices and bad choices just like all people.  In some ways I feel like I personally face the pyre.  In other words, if I am suppressed to the point where I am not able to express myself, in whatever variety of ways I choose, then I will cease to be.  Simple enough?  You know, "wherever I go, there I am."
However, the pyre also makes me think about the phoenix.  From the ashes of my destruction rises a new life, or re-invention, or simply resurrection.  Don't get offended, Christians. I mean it more like in a boxer getting up before the count-out.  In short, my very creativity is spurred by the encouragement to give up.
Give up?  Why?  What else do I have to achieve.  It's a dark day when you realize that "achievement" is a game set up by an establishment that has predetermined that you are going to lose.  So in the wake of such an epiphany, what else can you do?  Make your own rules.
Ramblings of a self-absorbed megalomaniac.
Well, maybe.  But if you want your voice heard, you have to carry a certain amount of ego with you.
I have a simple objective.  I want to exist in society, but on my terms.  I want to be able to do what I love to do.  I want to live off of my art. Simple. Why do artists struggle in American society?  Art is competitive.  Is art supposed to be competitive?  I think not.
FIRE a force to be reckoned with.  Do I seek power? YES.  Fire, so complex.  It destroys and it consumes, but it also warms and purifies.  I totally identify.

iota: Iota is the ninth letter in the Greek Alphabet.  I associate it with the number 9.  Nine is a power number in Wicca and Karma.  9 also has its' numerology significance but I'm not going to pretend to know anything about that.
In Tarot Nine in the Major Arcana is "The Hermit."  What can I say?  I identify.
The symbol for iota is "I" --a universal surname for all artists, I think.  Even artistic activists are self-absorbed.  Diego Rivera comes to mind, but Frida Kahlo was even worse, or should I say "better" at being self-obsessed.
In the English language "iota" means a small amount.  So there you go, assemble whatever meaning you perceive.
A small amount of fire.
Maybe, but plenty for a Scorpio.
[side note-iota is associated with "yodh" the tenth letter in the Hebrew alphabet. The root for Yoda comes from yodh---I'm no Yoda, but I love that guy]
And BTW, My initials are PI.
